The Primary is over, now it is a sprint to the finish line!
You are coming down to the last lap and the home stretch. Where do you focus your energies? First you have to give the impression that you are everywhere. Plan to be at every big event in the community, try and get you name in the paper at every opportunity and be seen. People want to know that you are working hard for their vote. Keep a calendar on your campaign site and then make sure it is updated.
In your weekly e-blast newsletter tell people all of the events that you have been to the past week. If they haven't seen you there they will at least be reading about your activities. Take pictures; get them up on facebook, your website and in your newsletter. People also love to see themselves with the candidate, so get group shots as often as you can. Send them via Twitter.
Have fun, voter contact is what will help you win. People want an elected official who is approachable and accessible. Listen to people when you are out and about, show them that they are important and that you care about their opinion. People like to be heard.
It is the simple things that we sometime forget. Be yourself, care and be thankful for all your blessings.

It is Memorial Day weekend, the beginning of the summer season. That means parades, picnics, great weather (unless you live here in the northwest), light until 10 PM, baseball games and fairs. There is absolutely no excuse not to be out with your voters.

You need to be visible, you need to have people see you are fit for the role you are running for...are you running for school board? Be at school functions, be at board meetings. City Council? Be at city events, community gatherings, be at the city council meetings. Voters...” >>
